    Good

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGive you the opportunity to work on a lot of clients. Opportunity for performance bonuses. Opportunity to work with high level management at clients.

ConsYou tend to work terrible hours, especially during January, February, and March. You're experience can only be as good as the client engagement team you are working with.

    Director (Former Employee)

ProsGreat work experience and exposure to many different types of industries.

ConsThey utilize a matrix management approach internally which is awful! The left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing and visa versa.

Advice to Senior ManagementDump matrix management and have each industry specialization manage itself.

    Incredible opportunities

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThis is a firm that takes care of its people's development and careers. Great mentorship and opportunities for advancement.

ConsLarge firm that requires navigation of different groups and sometime firm politics. People who are on a track to advance need to be savvy about work they do.

EY gives a lot of exposure and experience through a lot of long hours and hard work

Transaction Advisory Services Senior (Former Employee)
    Atlanta, GA

Pros- You'll see a lot of different projects
    - You'll get exposure to people very high up in the company
    - You'll become much more business savvy (especially if recruited out of college)
    - They hire a lot of people straight out of school so you usually have a since of community if you're growing up in the company.

Cons- Lots and lots and lots of hours
    - The experience is entirely dependent on how you get along with you team.
    - Since many people are hired straight out of school and never hold another job, they can lose touch with the way the rest of business works
    - No real appreciation of work life balance (unless, of course, your hobbies and family are somehow related to EY)

    A great, career-building opportunity.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe people I work with are great. The benefits are good. The experiences are career building. It's a great place to meet many different people at a variety of clients in various industries. The leadership seems to care about your career development, whether it includes staying at EY forever or leaving after a few years.

ConsWorking with scheduling can be a pain. It can be difficult to get on the projects you want, but you just need to work hard to network with the right people and push really hard for what you want. There is a lot of work. It's hard to take a real vacation where you can leave work behind completely.
