    Pros

Loved working with this company. They really value hard working people like myself and it feels great to be at a place that rewards hard work!

    Cons

I really wouldn't find any cons about the company really. Just an overall great company to work for. You should consider working for them .

I have been working at EY as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Good experience working at clients, fun activities, lots of networking opportunities, good pay for a 3rd year college student.

    Cons

Felt a little like I was being fed kool-aid as opposed to a genuine precursor to public accounting

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More opportunities for overtime

I have been working at EY full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

People, professional growth, annual promotions, annual raises, and a challenging atmosphere.

    Cons

The long hours are rough, and the worst part is seeing your manager and sr. manager working late also... as if the long hours will never end. But it's even worse when you are getting 20-25% below market rate outside of public accounting. Executives claim (and I believe them) that if you were to leave at any point, you will make 20 - 25% more. But 2 years later, your salary at EY will surpass that salary outside of public accounting. But once it's late in the evening, you start asking, "Would I be satisfied with less hours and a 20% raise, knowing that my salary will be capped in the ST?"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue improving IT, but create a working structure that will reduce the working hours. With the amount of technology we have, we should not be working the hours. Needs to be a solution.

I have been working at EY full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Genuinely looks to incorporate inclusiveness into all working practices, people look out for team members and actively provide opportunities for growth and development, a lot of internal progression and chances to change role / location

    Cons

Relatively rigid formal progression structure, depending on role can require frequent travel and significant virtual teaming, experience can depend on specific project / clients / teams - meaning it's left to you to strategically move projects to get the best experience

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Formal policy and performance metrics don't align with communications / promoted initiatives, e.g use of full utilization which encourages staff not to take PTO and thus a stressed and tired workforce

I worked at EY full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good teams, good environment, growth potential, good time-off policies, good pay. Training is of very good quality, and people are generally nice

    Cons

Leadership cannot focus on what they want to do in consulting. The strategy and vision is weak, and they just keep hiring from IBM and other big 4, hoping that they will bring business. The sales pressure is high, but there is no process to help senior managers and new partners get there in a methodological way. The leaders do not get involved in project delivery, and some are so rusty that you would hesitate to bring them on a project. All they do is sales.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decide what you want to do with consulting. You guys appear clueless and shifting directions every couple months. Too many old-time leaders who have little to add in ideas and solutions.
