I have been working at EY full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great start for a graduate, good "school of life", relatively fast career, good social benefits, friendly atmosphere, outstanding learning & development, coaching, flexible vacation planning

    Cons

Notorious work-life balance as in any Big4 company, ultimate lack of any compensation for overtimes (in most cases I am not allowed even to charge these hours), double promotions banned for few years as of today, too much bureaucracy in project management and other procedures

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider reducing bureaucratic project-related procedures and compensating overtime either with monetary reward or extra vacation days.

I have been working at EY full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Absolutely great people
Friendly atmosphere, you always feel support of your colleagues.
Close work to managers and senior managers, that is of great value to receive experience from real professionals.

    Cons

Not all candidates may come up with working schedule. Busy season is the very time to challenge yourself.
It`s a big company, I would even say it`s a big society, and like any society there are people you don`t want to see. But in general pros weigh more than cons.

Former Employee - Audit Senior Manager in Moscow (Russia)
Former Employee - Audit Senior Manager in Moscow (Russia)

I worked at EY full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

EY provides a great start for any person who wants to become a real finance professional to get required experience and develop necessary skills. Plus you establish your initial business network within the professional services world.

Looking forward EY offers opportunities for both staying with the Firm and developing your career inside or going outside and giving a different direction for your further professional growth.

One of the best positive aspects within EY is an opportunity to meet and work with really great people, who are very interesting persons, ready to take new challenges and achieve new heights.

    Cons

At some point you start feeling that you do not get a lot of new experience, but just repeat the same things from year to year. And this situation is not easy to change.

Working under pressure is a usual thing. This is OK for some time, bit probably not for the whole life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To put more efforts to retention of personnel, especially smart people who make a core team for successful engagements.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
