    Pros

Some of the best minds around to work with as colleagues int he company, very aggressive on growth and high on quality, people friendly, strong pro-employee HR policies.

    Cons

I was in the support team so it as ok but for business teams poor work life balance; in many teams, very strong biases by the partner / BU leaders and this works counter productive.

    Advice to Management

Rein in your partners who think they are the main decision maker of people's lives.

    Pros

Chance to work on interesting and versatile projects, good quality people, chance to travel abroad, exposure to various aspects of finance rather than specialization of a very specialized area

    Cons

long hours, sometimes extreme and unnecessary admin and micro-bureaucracy, "institutionalized" senior management (explained below).

    Advice to Management

I believe management needs to encourage and promote turnover on higher management levels (Senior Manager+). This will be to great benefit as it will allow the company to bring in new talent, refresh motivation and improve efficiency by combining experiences and methods used effectively in other companies in senior management level. It will also limit the biggest issue i currently see which is the "institutionalization" of people in senior management + positions who started within the company, have not had experiences outside EY's corporate culture and governance methods, and as a result, act as a "drag" to new more junior talent that comes from other places and has the appetite to change and improve things.
