    Pros

Company culture is supportive and incubating, worked with high caliber team

    Cons

HIgh expectations and long hours, but knowing that you've hit high marks is part of the fulfillment of the job.

    Pros

Amazing professional development, opportunities, responsibilities, and challenges.

    Cons

You have to empower yourself and seize those opportunities. It is easy to just get caught up doing the work and not lifting your head up and seeing the world around you.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people better, competitive pay, respect, appreciation. People are everything for this business

    Pros

EY provides a great career path for those that can bare the long hours.

    Cons

Long hours. The firm operates based on the Spaghetti Theory. If you throw enough spaghetti on the wall, some will stick. They don't care if you quit or not, because there are enough college grads that are willing to replace you. Also, wages are kept low because the oligopoly simply can. Work was very boring, too. Very few of the clients appreciate your work.

    Advice to Management

    Congrats on building this oligopoly.

    Pros

Good place to start career - typically the first 4 to 5 years out of college.

    Cons

No recognition for going above and beyond (maybe a couple $100 giftcards - but that's it). Comp for the top performers and mediocres are within five hundred bucks a year!!! Some particular service lines in some offices are poorly managed by local leadership.

    Advice to Management

Try to retain the brightest bulbs - can't go wrong with that!! Also consider some changes to local leaderships.

    Pros

Management truly believes in the growth and welfare of employees. Lot of learning opportunities, deliberate focus on coaching and mentoring at all levels, smart colleagues - all make EY a great place to work

    Cons

If you are in advisory practice, you will end up travelling a lot.

    Advice to Management

The career track is too rigid. Staff - Senior - Manager - Senior Manager - PPED. It may help to have a parallel track for those who are experts in subject matter but lack sales skills.

    Pros

With some coordination, I was able to schedule a 3 week vacation. Not every job would allow for that.

    Cons

Long, long hours. Boring work. Incompetent seniors.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent in the recruiting process.
