I have been working at EY full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

EY has a lot of opportunities for entry-level staff, including rotational programs and plenty of ways to get involved internally. The people that I trained with in my first month are still some of my closest friends at work. Working day to day with senior managers and even partners is the norm; the frequent exposure to upper management is a great way to see how the company as a whole works.

    Cons

While the rotational programs claim to provide a wide range of experiences, the responsibility of moving between different types of projects falls largely on the individual's shoulders. This works well for some, but can be challenging for others, depending on the projects where you are initially staffed. Deployment is not much help in getting into new projects, you really have to network your way to them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be a better way to communicate to staff-level employees regarding what project opportunities are available and what types of skillsets are required. Networking is the primary way to find out about different opportunities, which is an important aspect, but is not the optimal way to communicate with and attract internal resources.

EY is a highly recognized audit company. There are tons of clients from different industries where you can learn and build up your knowledge.

    Cons

    Deadlines are tight
First 3 months you may have to spend on doing some entry-level work, but after a year you will accelerate and start to have a bigger picture
