    I worked at EZ Bis

    Pros

The company is very flexible with work hours. You can leave early when needed as long as the time is made up at a later date. Easygoing atmosphere with a good bunch of employees

    Cons

Management is too stuck in the past. There isn't much forward thinking to motivate the employees to create software that will last.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Begin looking at new technologies to incorporate into the software package to make it easier to adopt in the upcoming years.

  2.

Great for the inexperienced looking to pad their resume, but don't expect too much

Former Employee - Software Intern  in  Lafayette, LA
Former Employee - Software Intern in Lafayette, LA

I worked at EZ Bis part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Lovingly referred to as "Cheesy Bis". Since Lafayette doesn't have many software companies, it'll look great on your resume to have gotten programming experience while your peers may only have waited tables to pay through college. If pay is an issue, you may want to join your buddy waiting tables.

    Cons

The environment provides little in the way of collaboration between peers. For an inexperienced college student, the full-time staff has little patience to explain the architecture of the system. The software is written in an archaic language and is very convoluted to a person with little real world experience in software. As an intern or part-time help, you will be thrown under the bus and given the task of debugging said software. You will be rewarded no skill points and may God have mercy on your soul.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is very commendable to be looking towards the University to provide new faces. However, the attitude towards the "cheap" labor should be re-evaluated. They can be an invaluable source of fresh ideas if given the opportunity to contribute more than modest bug fixes for clunky software. Engineering software for the sake of engineering is sometimes bad, but fixing crap with more crap is ALWAYS bad.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
