    I worked at EZCORP full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits, regular pay, some good people

    Cons

Poor upper management, poor management decisions, mismanagement, C level turnover

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking you know what's going on because you don't. You are too out touch and cannot look beyond your own upper management structure. Hire someone who know and understands American business policies and procedures.

I worked at EZCORP full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people that do the actual work. The company knows how to hire great people.

    Cons

The people in executive management. The bonuses for the people in executive management. The constant change that is more damaging to meaningful work and meaningful change taking place; those changes are only a direct benefit to the exec bonuses mentioned before. The verbal abusiveness from the top down. The gender bias (skews male) and prevalent sexism and some r.... The sweatshop hours corporate wide. The leadership by threat, intimidation, fear, and general abusiveness. The statements like, "Keeping your job is your bonus," "You can be fired at any time," "Change this...ok, now, change it back to what it was...I never told you to change that!!!" The micro-managing of the micro-managing managing the micromanaging. The head games (if you recognise it, you're out). The desire to have timid, non-confrontational, keep your head down and keep a paycheck, type of employees they seek to keep. Being proactive and smart and willing to speak up is enthusiastically curbed.

    Advice to Management

None to give. They will do as they see fit and have been doing.

    Pros

I learned a lot while there. The training for an entry level person is great.

    Cons

The first time you don't meet goal, expect documentation

    Advice to Management

Instead of just demanding the employees to meet goals, work with them

    Pros

Use to be some but can't think of anything today.

    Cons

Unstable constantly changing ways, worst 401k, stress level elevated, stocks down to $5.36 from upper $20's they ones were, employees very dis motivated, stinging bonus structure, unreal plans, they preach Managers have to be at the floor but they load you with so much it gives you no time, this people took the Fun away from the pawn business. There structure also change so much that the career advancements are now almost impossible, They soon will be closing.

    Advice to Management

Take retail out of your mind, go back to the pawn business fundamentals, keep employees happy and you will start seen growth and advancement, employees do not care about company because the company really don't care about the employees anymore like Value Pawn old days.

I worked at EZCORP (More than a year)

    Pros

    Salary was better than average.

    Cons

Strategy was non-existant. Company is stuck in the past and does not seem willing to adapt/change. Communication is also really poor across all departments and even worse across the different business units. Seems like the left hand never knows what the right hand is doing.

    Pros

I wish I had one, but I dont.

    Cons

This company rules its employees with fear and intimidation. This Management group of directors is going to cost EZCORP millions in legal fees and Security's Law suit settlements 2015.Read all the EZCORP news. 1. Management of this company has many "numbers " each employee has to hit before you earn commissions. This is done to prevent thousands of employees from earning commissions monthly. 2. This company pays its employees every two weeks on a Saturday. I cant even begin to tell you how ridicules that is for everyone that earns 12 dollars and hour ruining out of money on a Thursday and having to pawn goods to get through the week. 3. Management prints out company planed targets goals for all sales and loan goals that are usually 50 percent higher then previous years actual, knowing your store will never hit planed numbers so that stores cant earn store bonus. 4.You can be written up for not doing any one of 100 daily job tasks on a weekly basis. 5. There are only 3 ways to make more money. Commissions, which are very difficult to get because all the numbers you have to hit. Pawn broker certificate , Which they tell you you can get in 6 months to get a raise of a dollar an hour. " NO SUCH CERTIFICATE EXISTS " A raise, lol , which wont happen for a long time now because of the negligence of the board of directors missing a filing for the SEC. Which caused the stock to lose 3 dollars a share in 3 months.15 law suits, and SEC investigation , and its going to cost millions to fix this mess. By the way , as a sales and loan associate kif you make mistakes on loan contracts you can be hauled of to jail. Unlike the Directors who will cost this company millions , your legal fees will not be paid.

    Advice to Management

You dont give advice to this management. They are clueless. They came up with the red dot , green dot sticker label program to place on collateral of loans. Green meaning you think they client will come back to pick up their item, red if they don't. This is so visiting management can look at all the inventory and get an idea of good loans vs bad loans. look at all the green red dots. COMPUTERS are for reports people..
