    Pros

There is nothing positive to say about this job.

    Cons

Inept management and no clear direction make this environment a difficult, stressful place to work in. I wish I would have taken the advice from these reviews and not taken the position. Stay as far away from this place as you can.

I have been working at EZCORP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Community involvement opportunities. There are many opportunities to give back to the community and make a difference.

    Cons

The stability in the IT department is extremely unpredictable. Leadership in IT is lacking in both knowledge and honesty. There is no concern for work-life balance or personal growth. The IT strategy is lacking and there or no opportunities for advancement. If you see possible issues with a decision made by leadership you are not encouraged to share opportunities for improving upon that decision. Leadership in IT is not open and honest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the individuals doing the work before you make rash decisions.

    Pros

Rapid turnover creates a lot of growth opportunities. The politics would make a good novel.

    Cons

Executive management is narcissistic and paranoid. Management hides information from each other and when available uses that little information against each other. The focus on monthly earnings results in serial short term decision making that is obviously bad for the business and results in a revolving door among management.

I worked at EZCORP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Hours were decent pay ok but they offer GREAT benefits. Work to life balance was good. Lots of pto, vacation and paid holidays. Lots of contests where you can ear extra money and they have bonus plans.

    Cons

Upper management will try to treat you any kind of way and will more than likely get away with it. They will compliment you for a job well done but will take away the compliment and say you could have done better or what you've done wasn't so great

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire better district managers. Know the real person you're hiring... esp in GA.

I worked at EZCORP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Decent pay IF you can ever achieve bonus. They continuously say that 'we're all on the same team' but I was working in a store where the entire staff from management to hourly got bonuses but since I wasn't 'assigned' to the store I wasn't eligible. WOW!

    Cons

Hired in 2013 along with 4 other managers to open a new market in Nashville. A year later they still aren't opening all the stores. They micro manage from the regional level what the hourly employees scheduled hours are. They don't need or want managers...they want supervisors. No communication, poor upper level management, gross working conditions. And they continue to ask for employee referrals. What a joke!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow a business plan, don't just wing it day to day. Reward good employees and follow through on promises.

I worked at EZCORP full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A very good place to work for people that don't use alarm clocks. If you have a poor work ethic and bad personal hygiene you will go far.

    Cons

I worked for a value pawn and lasted 3 years only getting a 25 cent raise. I was employee of the month 95 percent of the time . I was promised a nice pay raise at my 3 year mark, instead of the raise I got fired by the heartless district manager. The stores have a high turnover and the store employees are used to do managements job. The company only seems to promote 20 year olds that show up to work late smelling like pot because they will work for less. Also the district manager tells management to change your review scores so you don't get a raise. Not a positive place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to just admit that you have no clue about business and you can't promise employees anything because you don't have any real pull. Quit making employees discount prices to include product protection and vip on sales, it does not help, hopefully corporate will catch on one day. Get a plan and stick to it.

    I worked at EZCORP full-time

    Pros

This is a company that has grown very rapidly, and suffers from those growing pains. Lacking in process, procedure and behind the times on things like pay and benefits, there's very little upside to working here.

    Cons

Possibly the lowest pay-rates of any industry. Individuals are compensated well below industry average for professional positions. Very little opportunity for advancement, and limited vision by the leadership team make this a frustrating place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your teams and think outside the box to continue growth.
