    Pros

Money is above average for the industry. Promote from within, some times.

    Cons

They cut everyone's hours so that they don't have to pay full benefits, hours are not regular. You are just a number and can be replaced without a thought. Goals are unrealistic and when they're not met, area managers yell at managers, who in turn yell at employees. Shareholders make all the decisions in this company. Decisions are made at the drop of a hat, then they decide to go a new route also at the drop of a hat, and get upset when people are doing things the first way.

    Pros

Sodas are 25 cents, other than that...um....still thinking...I can't come up with another one since the place is so awful

    Cons

Work-to-Life balance is horrible, being sick is a no-no, 5 holidays a year IF you get them, management pushes constantly for more work to be done on tighter time schedules, no training for employees, promotions happen only if you are "in" with management regardless of talent

    Advice to Management

Get rid of middle management at Corporate, offer training to employees, have an established career path for employees to follow instead of floundering

    Pros

They offer a robust benefit package that is reasonably priced.

    Cons

Benefits are available to you and your "opposite sex spouse or domestic partner". This does not matter whether you are in a state that has marriage equality or not.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times! Your benefit plans are blatantly discriminatory.

    Pros

Free coffee! Competent management. Systematically tackles issues. Compensation is fair. Cares about community involvement.

    Cons

It's a Pawn Shop/Payday loan company. Culture seems conservative. Limited time off during holidays.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more growth, communicate with the "Plebes."

    Pros

The financial pockets that they have allow them to purchase smaller " mom & pop" businesses and turn them into thriving stars.

    Cons

They are primarily a pawn based business and when you step away from what you know and try to reinvent the wheel, that's when you will fall

    Advice to Management

Stick with what has made you successful. When you take over smaller businesses, get to know that model before you try to change things.

    Pros

    - They pay on industry standard for the IT group any way.
    - Change in management has moved the company forward to getting back on track.
    - The company has a huge interest in the community and allows for volunteer opportunities.

    Cons

    - Though there is a full suite of benefits, they are pretty lack luster. Had to pay the same amount for an emergency visit, that we did for an emergency hospital stay with another insurance.

    - Executive management does not allow for enough positions in the IT department and spreads the admins way to thin. Infrastructure is a heartbeat away from permanently crashing.

    Advice to Management

Beef up your IT department before the infrastructure crumbles and business comes to a grinding halt.

    Pros

There are some talented employees, and generally people are nice. Work is not very challenging but is mostly manual due to lack of wanting to invest in systems that actually work.

    Cons

This company prefers to keep the less talented employees because they can pay them sufficiently less, but the quality of work suffers. You get what you pay for. The only reason people get promoted at EZCorp is because they can't keep people, let alone attract new talent. Upper management is so oblivious to acknowledge this is the real issue. Beware, more lay offs to follow, it is not over.

    Advice to Management

It is difficult to provide advice when the advice is not taken into consideration.

    Pros

    Opportunities for advancement
    Awesome work-life balance

    Cons

    Low entry-level pay
    Office Bureaucracy

    Advice to Management

Lots of misdirection and miscommunication. Approvals are often put off, which impedes the workflow, and causes every-changing deadlines.
