I have been working at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Salaried employees have great benefits. You work a ton during the busy season, but your given a tremendous amount of latitude for work/life balance.

    Management genuinely cares about staff

I know a lot of people love the free food. It's not a big deal for me, but it's a big pro for some people

    Fair pay for the work

    Cons

I think the benefits for hourly employees aren't so great. When it's the busy season, some departments are on mandatory overtime and 6 day work weeks. You get a big paycheck during these times, which is the balance, but I know it's hard on some people.

There were some issues with management a year or so ago, but the company has done a lot of work to move people out of roles where they were not good fits.

Because of the pending acquisition, we've been challenged in adding head count, so we're all doing a lot more with less. That's not unusual in companies though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a better eye on what's coming down the pipeline. There are some unhappy people because of staffing shortages that likely could have been prevented if the higher-ups had listened to the front line managers.

    Pros

Overall good people, positive work community. Making serious attempts to improve capacity of management and look to develop new leaders from w/i the company.

    Cons

Low wages, declining benefits, location (Bothell), out-of-control demoralizing bullying done by some managers. Leads to ridiculous amounts of drama and brings morale down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what is preached about leadership and management.

I have been working at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Laidback environment, lots of creative freedom is available and encouraged, lots of room for growth, communication is always open and honest, upper management has a genuine desire to listen to and hear what employees are saying

    Cons

Some managers avoid confrontation, even when doing so hurts the department

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize that sometimes confrontation has to happen in order for the department/company to grow.

I have been working at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Being a young company, its a unique environment to be in. Everything is always changing and developing and it's really cool to watch employee ideas grow into company wide products and procedures. There is a lot of opportunity for growth that wouldn't be as widely available in an older company. The customers are wonderful, the established products are really cool and the upcoming stuff is exciting.

Benefits are great (90% coverage for you and all dependents) so although the starting pay may not be as high as other places that helps to average everything out in the end. There are fully stocked kitchens and drink areas, a wellness program, and an incredible group of coworkers. Everyone spends a lot of time together in and outside of work and overall everyone gets along very well.

    Cons

The fact that it's young and everything is changing all of the time. Procedures and processes will switch on a weekly basis and not everyone will be on the same page. Programs and systems can get frustrating because they have not been updated as quickly as the growth and product changes would need to be smooth.

You will work a lot of hours during some months. Long days (12+ hours) and long weeks (mandatory extra days). Certain departments have a lot of stability and others not so much which can be frustrating at times and make promotion/changing departments a scary venture.

    Pros

Great, young people and a relaxed atmosphere made for a very pleasant work environment. Food and beverages provided along with some meals, and video games for breaks. Interesting company growing like crazy - all the cachet of working for a start-up!

    Cons

The company and executives and managers were figuring a lot out as they went, which made things a bit hectic. Rules and procedures were changing every day.

I worked at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Quickly changing, during my time @ Eagleview every single person (except 1, CTO) were either new hires, were promoted, changed jobs or left for other adventures. This instilled a lot of pride in the work force because our hardwork was recognized and even though the company was just getting off the ground there were ways of showing appreciation all around.

    Cons

The company is young and in a phase of stabilization, they don't always know how to appreciate the hardwork of everyone around them and they don't always understand how to keep certain people happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that you have the right people in the right place.

Don't know how to treat customer service employees

I worked at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - free food
    - no real dress code
    - lots of nerf gun shooting (if you like that kind of thing)
    - quarterly bonuses

    Cons

The management within this company seems to not really focus on the well-being of their staff.
    - many times when business picks up they institute mandatory 6 day (minimum) work weeks and 12-hour (minimum) work days.
    - different departments seem to not have the same burden during busy times, as you'll often see one team working around the clock to assist customers, work on reports while another department is playing with nerf guns, video games, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people so that all departments are equal and take complaints about co-workers to heart. If multiple people complain about an upper-management type who is mistreating or just being plain rude to their co-workers, take some sort of action.

I have been working at EagleView Technologies, Inc. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

*The hiring philosophy is to hire people that are A players. With that you get to work with people who are really passionate and good at what they do.
*Great benefits. They pay 90% of your insurance premiums and have stock options in the company.
*Fun, casual environment. No dress code. Lots of nerf guns. Fully stocked kitchen. Game pit area.
*Rapidly growing company means lots of new opportunities available and they give preference to internal candidates.
    *Really exciting, challenging work.

    Cons

*Being a young and growing company you have to be able to deal with change to make it here. You will also work hard, which I don't see as a con, but some may.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think there is a talented management team in place that is doing a great job of continually moving the company forward.

    Pros

Their product is great - if they can sustain

    Cons

Expect to work 50+ hours per week
No "set" vacation - they say you can request vacation but it's hard to get even a week approved
Young managers who lack professional experience
    Unprofessional work atmosphere
Do not accept a job with this company because of the "free food" and "table tennis" perks - while the perks are nice, they almost feel like a "bribe" to make you work long hours
