    Pros

The pay is pretty good. It's a really fun place to work for a seasonal job, and supervisors in general are understanding.

    Cons

The dates and times aren't always that flexible, and also likely to work on weekends.

    Advice to Management

    More communication would be nice.

Home like company. You don't feel like a number working for EBRPD but more like part of a family.

    Cons

Not enough work to keep busy.

    Pros

The best aspect of working for the regional park district was having constant access to the outdoors (as part of the job requirement), although I know more administrative interns were inside most of the time. The staff are generally passionate about promoting and protecting the parks, and increasing access to the outdoors.

    Cons

The internship often entailed spending lots of time working alone, with limited direction. This could be seen as a positive—quite a bit of freedom.
