    Pros

Good people; beautiful environment; not far away; room for initiative and independence; very extensive training programs for certain things

    Cons

Temps have absolutely no stepping stones to advancement. Seem to be into only hiring young people right now. Only committed to diversity on paper

    Advice to Management

Promote the people whi are already dedicated to the parks. Stop bringing in so many outsiders.

Not the best use of a summer for someone nearing the end of a bachelors degree, go get an internship!

I have been working at East Bay Regional Park District part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fairly flexible scheduling, great people to work with, and, this being a Parks District, beautiful locations in which to work.

    Cons

They have 60+ parks in a number of counties. Getting into a specific park that is fairly close to one's home is supremely challenging.

    Advice to Management

    None at the present time.
