I worked at Eastern Financial full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great for climbing the ladder, no micro-managing, people oriented, diverse. It was really a pleasure working for this company. Too bad that the bad decisions of some affected so many. There are few companies like this around today.

    Cons

Some of upper management caused very bad things to happen to this great company

    Pros

I was close to home. Worked with extremely nice and friendly members. They had quite an array of loyal members who came from miles away to work with our reps.

    Cons

They were not technologically savvy. Their systems were antiquated and should have been upgraded years before instead of spending money on consulting firms. Management never backed their employees making it an uncomfortable place to work.

    Advice to Management

Back up your employees. Look at the policies and procedures in place and update them. Listen to the voice of the employees.
