    Pros

Kodak is still small enough that you can get the executive attention you need. The leadership team is always there for you and willing to help. They still care about their employees. They believe in a work life balance which is not true of many other companies now a days. Kodak has bleeding edge technology and continue to invest in these areas always wanting to make things better cheaper faster!

    Cons

    I can't thing of any.

    Advice to Management

Continue the good job. You have done great things so far and know your employees are behind your direction.

    Pros

I've been at Kodak for 21 years now and love the fact that I have had the chance to completely change assignments every 3-4 years...it's helped me to gain so much more experience and has given me a chance to grow in a way I could not in the same job year after year. I've learned a lot and that's what I love most. I also really like the people I work with....in this regard there have been a few bumps along the road, people I would not like to work with but that's more the exception than the rule. Regarding pay, I have been extremely happy with the level of pay....benefits are average I guess...nothing stellar there.

    Cons

Unfortunately the economic downturn is taking it's toll...so things are getting rough everywhere, including Kodak. The constant (huge) down-sizings are tainful. And of course massive down-sizings just turn everything upside down and add so much stress for everyone. Another down-side is that there is very little recognition...even the free recognitions of "nice job", "thanks", etc....which is discouraging during a time of no raises.

    Advice to Management

Their doing a good job quite honestly. Had it not been for this economic down turn we were positioned quite well. Now it's riding out this latest challenge. I would though emphasize how important it is to recognize individual employees, even if it cannot be monetary, throw a "great job" my way once in a while.

    Pros

Good Life. Good Pay. Good People. Tradition bound and conservative. Well educated quality employees who are willing to help and lead. Down but not out.

    Cons

Having been a world leader and unchallanged monopoly for over half a century made us fearful to make major changes. We rode the slide from the pinnacle while grasping at mediocre fixes. It will be a long climb back up that will require Kodak to pursue and conquer daring and bold new businesses. But Kodak people possess the necessary knowledge.....just more courage is necessary to win it back.

    Advice to Management

take some risks. push responsibility downward. lotta folks hungry for challange and opportunity. take a major pay cut. stop cutting headcount. can't shrink your way to major growth. invest in product people and processes.

    Pros

Large corporation with lots of different opportunities in a centralized geographic area. Traditionally has been on the cutting edge of technology for the industry.

    Cons

Decline of traditional films has forced downsizings and closures of departments. Work environment has diminished due to these and anticipated future events.

    Advice to Management

Value the strengths and experience of your workforce, and leverage it in existing and new opportunities.
