    I worked at Eastman Kodak

    Pros

Until 2012, it was a great place to work. Great people: committed, dedicated. Very team focused, even when resources were sparse.

    Cons

Everything after October 2012. Innovation failed. Leadership pushed product to market long before it was ready. This destroyed any credibility left in the brand, and customers fled.

I worked at Eastman Kodak full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Cutting edge image-enhancement software, I was allowed freedom to manage my own projects from a superb project mgr. & was supported by my department mgr.

    Cons

Clueless Rochester upper mgmt. froze wages & hiring, only cared about their film core business & treated medical imaging as a corporate colony for exploitation. Employee stock purchasing was denied, & all levels or communication was hampered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Being undersold by Fuji film created corporate-wide losses that cost you your medical imaging line of business.

    Pros

Incredible collective knowledge in the company. Coworkers were generally very friendly and fun to work with.

    Cons

Upper management ran the company into the ground. Morale was always low with poor company performance, layoffs, and lack of raises. Constant exodus of the brightest minds in the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Eastman Kodak full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The people at Kodak are excellent. Hard-working, innovative, and kind. The projects are often fascinating. There are some truly ethical mid-level managers here.

    Cons

Upper management is absolutely blind to any holes in their strategy. This has been their downfall for the past 20 years. So get used to seeing a lot of cash flow into projects that are doomed. This is the single, biggest issue.

I worked at Eastman Kodak full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Many learning opportunities, great co-workers and teamwork, diversity of employee networks, able to initiate projects, found many volunteers with passion to work on special not-for-profit projects, co-workers were creative in thinking out of the box.

    Cons

Current management not in tune with employees, and business direction; past management not have the correct vision. Sad to see the once renowned Kodak, inventor of the camera not directly involved in cameras. Wasteful and inefficient use of resources, sometimes no accountability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to empower all employees in order to engage diverse and creative resolutions. Need to take responsibility and think long term, not rest on laurels of past accomplishments.

I worked at Eastman Kodak full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Products, people and culture were important during my tenure. Kodak had a history of delivering outstanding consumer products from film to digital cameras.

    Cons

Not willing to take risks outside the photographic space. In recent years Kodak delivered a number of consumer ink jet printers where the quality and robustness of the product did not meet consumer expectations. This may be one of the factors that lead to Kodak bankruptcy and transition to a business to business company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is time to reorganize senior management

    Pros

the company was a great place to work about 15 years ago.there was job security and most everybody worked towards a common goal.

    Cons

the last few years there have been numerous layoffs many good workers were let go because of businesses being sold off or even discontinued.it seemed that the workers selected to be laid off were often the ones that were within a few years of retirement.
