I worked at Eaton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, excellent exposure to other businesses within the company

    Cons

The working hours are long and tiring, and it is difficult to progress in your career since they require a fixed number of years of work experience in order to get a promotion.

I worked at Eaton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Safe Heaven for Underperformers ( Lot of Sand Bagging in Goals) provided you along good with your manager. Moderately competitive Remuneration to Market . If you are afraid of taking onus of your decisions , best place to work as all decisions are either top driven or are made over collectively.

    Cons

Leadership here is busy in promoting himself/herself , so do not bother them with your issues
If you are a domain expert , chances of your decision getting implemented are as strong as others in your team who do not know much because "calibration" is the DNA of Eaton's Decision Making
Undue Focus on Employee Satisfaction Index and Managerial Effectiveness , hence very tough life for Manager of People. You can not afford to rate your subordinate for underperformance as Manager of Managers shall make the buck stop at you as his numbers of ESI & ME need to be correct.
Skip Levels for MOP's are only for the record , actually they are mot meant for you. Never believe the Ombudsman Process , they are there only to facilitate your Leaders' Motives

I worked at Eaton part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good learning opportunity, great work-life balance

    Cons

No proper HR processes, managers are arrogant and think too much of themselves, present employees vent out their dissatisfaction, no competitive environment and people are more concerned to go home.. Too informal culture

The project which I was told at the beginning was vastly different from what I did; so preparation was rendered useless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get processes right and hire from Tier 1/2 B - schools and not Tier 5/6 B - Schools.
