I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fair Salary Very friendly environment Great team Flexibility safety is a big thing at Eaton

    Cons

I haven't seen any cons for working at Eaton, only that when they are down in business, their non-productive managers had to go on MULA Mandatory Unpaid Leave of Absence for a week. They generally don't do mass layouts Hiring process is very hard Had to go through a 5 hour interview when I initially started

    Advice to Management

Should make the hiring process easier and shorter. It took 4 months for me to get hired for an engineer's position and had to go through a 5 hours interviews with 5 different people whereas it could be made a panel interview with all 5 people interviewing the potential candidate for an hour.

I have been working at Eaton full-time

    Pros

    1. Some friendly coworkers around

    Cons

    1. No career growth opportunity. Limited managerial positions and no development for people. Once you're hired as an analyst, you're an analyst for life here. 2. Promises never get delivered. "Time is tough, money is tight" is what the management says to give out no bonus, to give out no pay raises, and to forego the promotion promised WHILE STILL MAKES YOU ASSUME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NEW ROLE. 3. When someone leaves, instead of hiring someone new to replace her, managers will simply divide up the work and distribute it to other people on the team. 4. Corporate management has no understanding of regional operations and demand ridiculous results or compliance

    Advice to Management

Time to vote yourself out and get new management if you truly care about the company

I have been working at Eaton full-time

    Pros

The biggest pro to Eaton that I've experienced has definitely been the people. Most of the co-workers are very competent and excel at what they do which raises the bar for the rest of the people. The salary is fair and the benefits are very good.

    Cons

There are many systems/processes/procedures in place that people are forced to use that end up causing more wasted time than they should. There are a lot of out of date systems tying everything together.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from the lower level people about the processes in place to see where they can be improved. Don't make changes just because somebody higher up the food chain has an idea without vetting it out first.

I have been working at Eaton (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is very competitive there. The also have great benefits. They give you a chance to move up in the company too. Some supervisors at my plant came from the floor.

    Cons

They are a little lacking in ethics although they preach them a lot. I have witnessed favoritism and discrimination. Everyone is not treated the same even though they tell you that.

    Advice to Management

Follow your own ethic policies and treat everyone the same. There is also micromanaging at my specific plant so you never know who is in charge of who.
