I have been working at Eaton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get to choose the kind of work you want once you prove your capability. Overall a decent place to work. Makes you feel satisfied work wise. Compensation benefits are good

n a nutshell, if you are here for learning...then you are be at right place.

    Cons

There will be longer work schedules which sometimes becomes painful. Employee-Manager transparency about the goals accomplished (to be) is not very good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management and HR administration need to work closely and structure the policies to be more employee friendly

Current Employee - Human Resources Co-Op

I have been working at Eaton as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Adept mentoring for length of employment
    Cross-Functional Project opportunities
Latitude to transfer into other departments/functions
    Challenging growth assignments
Open knowledge transfer and collaboration expedites the steep learning curve to perform beyond expectations almost immediately
A truly open-door policy for brainstorming to devise optimal solutions to complex problems
    Culture exemplifies their stated values

    Cons

12 hour work days approximately 2-3 times a week for indirect support roles; however, personnel issues arise at untimely moments, so this reality is a widely known and accepted expectation of the role within any organization. The experience was extremely positive and allowed for both professional and personal growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Eaton full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Friendly people and knowledgeable interviewers.

Great program designed for new grads.

Fair compensation and good benefits packages.

Huge company with room to grow.

On going training and coaching to LDP hires that helps them get to where they want to be.

    Cons

The interview process took a little longer than they intended and kept the candidates wondering, would be good for them to keep their timeline.

Former Employee - Electrical Engineering Intern
Former Employee - Electrical Engineering Intern

I worked at Eaton as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

I got to work on many different projects, getting a feel for all different aspects of engineering. I got to work in some control engineering, design engineering, and validation testing. Overall, I think I got a great feel for what it would be like to be an engineer working in the field. Pay was also very competitive for an intern position.

    Cons

Because of the nature of an internship I never really got to fully immerse myself in one project. Mostly I was moved around every week or so to a part of the team that needed some extra help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None that I can think of.
