    Pros

The corporate culture is wonderful. They treat their employees fairly, offer generous benefits, a very attractive work environment, and good team values. Good work/life balance with 9-5 hours.

    Cons

Sometimes the company can be slow to implement change.

    Advice to Management

Step up to the plate and add to staff as needed. The company is very slow to grow its ranks, as it doesn't ever want to have to cut back on staff.

    Pros

Great company values as rich history translates to classiness. Good benefit, treat their employees fair, take care of the employees with generous bonus and profit sharing, and also has great reputation in the asset management industry.

    Cons

Typical office politics, lots of people got held back due to overzealous managers, employees tend to get "lost" in the company, and most folks use EV as a stepping stone rather than long term career.

    Pros

Nine to five work day, no overtime expected. They treat you like an adult in terms of sick leave and doctors appointments

    Cons

Poor raises, not all employees get bonuses, little promotional leverage in some departments

    Advice to Management

Create career paths for all employees and/or give bonuses to all

    Pros

The people were great to work with. It was always a pleasure to work alongside them.

    Cons

The pay was less than I was expecting it would be. There was minimal room for growth and no extra challenges to take on.

    Pros

Eaton Vance is a great company and has excellent benefits. However employee pay is very low compared with other companies. It also depends which department you work in. Many have little to no growth potential or areas for advancement.

    Cons

Not for the company as a whole but in my department, days were long and boring. More and more processes are being automated so the job is basically mindless. Pay low and no opportunities for advancement.
