    Cons

Culture. Can't buy anything without approval from the CEO. Even pens have to be approved. Slows down employees ability to do their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Change the purchasing structure. Encourage more team-building to promote a positive work environment.

    Pros

There are many very talented and conscientious co-workers. If new to the industry or just out of school there will be opportunities (but little or no formal training).

    Cons

Management is focused on crises only and does not mentor or interact much with staff. I only had two reviews over 8-10 years: one insisted on by a group, the other I insisted on because I had essentially been assigned new duties over the years which should have resulted in my being promoted twice. I left because the review was good but the compensation award was less than the cost of living increase during that same review period.

    Pros

    Some people are friendly here.

    Cons

Company do not have a program for training. You are expected to learn everything on your own and it is all propriety software. Very high demand from employees. We easily work 60hrs a week or more. when we complain to manager, he say we are not working efficiently. Every single person on team have same complain of too much work for one person. The manager expect you to get all your work done even if it mean you have to work from home and cut family time. You are paid salary, so no over time. Senior manager only care to he look good to upper management and will sink his employee to do so. So if you thinking to work here, try to talke to some employee first. Tell hiring manager you want to talk to team members on the team you will work with before you take job. Although workers are nice to each other, a lot of back stabbing happens. Most people who is working here cannot find another job, but as soon as they find something else, they are gone. No room to grow in company. Lots of fake promise.

    Advice to Management

Be careful your clients find out about the work atmosphere for the employees.

    Pros

Free water, sometimes free coffee or tea.

    Cons

This is not a good company to work for. The manager play favoritism games and can not properly manage the team. senior member on the team is rude and try set you up for failure. Everyone is out for them self. Sr. Director only cares about revenue and can care less for his employees. He like you if you are indian, if not, you're a slave. They make the job sound great before you get hired, but after you sign the dotted line, you're toast. Expect to work 50-60hrs a week with no extra pay. You will be better off working at McDonalds.

    Advice to Management

Robin, if you are such a caring person, why don't you reach out to your employees for feedback on what is going on at the bottom, stop only caring about the top. Stop only caring about your own pocket.

    Pros

    Good clients, good admin team.

    Cons

Ebix shows great interest to acquire new companies but doesn't know what to do with those companies after acquisition. They had a plan to sell the company for making but it didnt work out, so now they are just running the company.

Every employee gets same treatment, doesn't recognize who is is contributing and who is not. Not matter how many efforts you put that does matter to any one. No one cares. Very bad management, middle management is absolutely powerless directionless and have no idea where they are going what they are doing.

Be prepared to work for same salary for ages and for no promotions.

    Advice to Management

Dont just acquire companies, acquire only if you can do some thing with them.

Good employees willing to go the extra mile in order to try to succeed . Learned how not to do things.

    Cons

Lowest morale I have ever witnessed. No increases unless you threaten to quit. Nobody in senior mgmt wants to listen or has any interest other than keeping stock prices up.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, perhaps you will learn something.

Great people to work with. Robin is easy to work with once you realize what he is about.
    Decent pay.

    Cons

    my immediate boss was poor
sometimes felt there was no focus
    very little room for growth.
Office politics seems more important than moving the company forward.

    Pros

One of the pros of working with Ebix is that there are some truly talented employees. Unfortunately, most of them are with the company through acquisitions Ebix makes and they end up leaving once they realize that working for Ebix means that there is no longer room for career growth, raises, etc.

    Cons

Executives and people in leadership roles are incapable of making decisions or presenting a clear direction for the company- much less all of the divisions and products that fall under Ebix. The company is constantly making acquisitions but never spends money on R&D, proper staffing, or Marketing. This leads to a lot of frustration internally and an extremely high turnover rate. Also, the office culture in Sandy Springs is terrible. Employees are forced to 'sign in' and 'sign out' like Kindergarteners and management is more focused on whether you are sitting at your desk (god forbid you go to lunch or the bathroom!) than they are about whether you are getting work done and meeting/exceeding your goals.

    Advice to Management

Nurture the talent that you have instead of constantly hiring from the outside. Hire better leadership. Have better communication with employees regarding the status of the company, earnings, new products rolling out, etc. Everyone is always in the dark unless a press release is issued. Spend money on R&D & hire more people for product development. The current product offering across the board is stagnant and needs a refresh. Hire more people in Marketing & a VP of Marketing to lead them. There are literally 3 people working in Marketing which makes absolutely NO sense for a company the size of Ebix.
