    I worked at Echo360 full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company talks a good line about education and caring about employees investing in their development which they do not do. The benefits were ok casual environment for the most part but the board runs the company.

    Cons

People not working together no collaboration office politics. Purchasing 2 companies in one year talking about one thing and ended up down sizing and laying off solid individuals in all departments. Very sad state of affairs losing business to our competitors due to our pricing and lack of flexibility. Unhappy customers not happy with support of products losing business due to products not working.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to overall management team bring in people that get along and work together instead of on their own separate department not communicating or working together. Have teams collaborate and work with each other to develop better products. Do not release products until bugs have been fixed and you have a robust system. Also offer better pricing and discounts on products to not lose business anymore.

    Pros

If you want to work from home, whenever and report to no one, ever, this is the place to be! If you are looking to work in a completely unprofessional environment, this i the place to be!

    Cons

There is no engineering management. No one is in charge and technically no one has to work.
The business side of the house actually tries to run engineering, despite hating software and hating engineers.
A member of the board is best friends with a member of the company, causing incredible conflicts on interest in terms of who is in charge of what and when.
Members of upper management blatantly and clearly lie to the employees (who of course compare notes). When incredibly moments of dishonesty are discovered, nothing is done about it.

    I worked at Echo360 full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Compensation was okay, "time away" from work flexible.

    Cons

Upper management lacks directions, middle management is incompetent, many of the engineers are just plain lazy and/or unskilled. The product could be good, but is mired with ticky-tacky decision making and an incredible lack of leadership. Acquired two companies after receiving funding, ended up laying off a good portion of the engineering staff afterward. While they pride themselves on "flex-time" make sure you get them to give you proper training, otherwise they'll hold it over your head when you can't deliver on time. Nothing gets done because no one knows who's in charge. Presentations are set up in front of executives, but never communicated to the presenter when or where. Disorganization and dysfunctionality make this a really poor choice. You'd be better off working in waste management on the back of a truck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire yourselves. It starts at the top.
