Not the best, not the worst

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat management, friendly co-workers, plenty of recognition. I also liked the training, a lot to learn but you do get the just of things.

ConsNot enough hours and low pay raises. Do more than what you make. Part-time schedule is tough to work with. Schedule changes every week.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work.

    Good company with growth

    Financial Analyst (Former Employee)
    Saint Paul, MN

    Pros- Friendly culture
    - A lot of managers genuinely care about about developing their employees
    - Relaxed work environment, flexibility in work/life balance
    - Great opportunities to get involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities from affinity groups to other social events

    Cons- Lots of red tape
    - Slow paced, especially for someone coming out of school. Things move very slowly and new ideas can take eons to come to fruition.
    - Politics and chain of command structure. If your manager doesn't support your idea then there will be no moving forward with it
    - Lack of recognition for employees and work that gets put in.

Advice to Senior ManagementGood company, but need to build out your talent pipeline.
Must allow for ideas to come forward without having to jump through so many hoops

Generally positive, operations tends to be overlooked

    Supply Chain (Current Employee)
    Fort Wayne, IN

ProsWork life balance-strong leader in the industry
Ecolab will continue to grow, and be profitable.
Openings all the time due to growth

    ConsWorkload
Supply chain is not really appreciated in this marketing and sales driven company
Sometimes there appears to be a lack of accountability for those not meeting expectations

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand that the folks cooking the dinner for the customers want to meet all of their expectations, that they never want to dissappoint, but when everything is a rush or an emergency, nothing is.

    Sr. Territory rep

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFlexibility of work schedule, company car, variety of job locations

ConsEach year you are asked to do double to triple the amount of work done pervious year with no additional pay. Changes pay structure, seems more hourly with weekend work. Never satisfied with what value you as a person bring, you can also be replaced by someone else happy to do more with less. Unless you are part of the "inner circle", don't expect or try to be promoted, those who do less, but chosen are those that get promoted. Company is like an elephant, never forgets a mistake or something negative you do, very quickly forgets something that adds dollars & value to business. HORRIBLE follow through when your apply for internal position, you'll never hear back from HR on where you stand.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart holding people accountable for their actions and promoted those that really show they have the ability to do so.

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Company Review

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros- Great Flexibility with work and personal life.
    - Company Car
    - Other Perks and incentives

Cons- Lacking structure and relevance to some positions/roles
    - Cronyism
    - Not enough help or support for men and women in the front lines
    - Disproportionate Pay and almost impossible to understand compensation plan... In fact, 90% of the front line does not know how they get paid. The plan is very confusing and brushed off quickly.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be so quick to make big changes without understanding how it affects the whole. Reevaluate your metrics for all positions especially RM's and SSDM's

    Changes

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLots of changes going on after acquiring two companies. More opportunities, areas and things to learn.

ConsChange has not always been handled well by management and it has become evident that once again the right kind of changes will not happen quickly or will even be in the priority list.
