Pros
You get what you put in, decent salary and commissions.
A high paced sales force with monthly if not weekly sales goals.
Cons
Company seems to be more worried about the stock price and or paying its executives.
The ground troops that are the life blood of the company seem to be neglected.
Cutting back payment packages that seem to not make sense.

Treat all employees with fairness, stop scaling back compensation packages.

Good growth opportunities if you're considered "high potential". If not, good luck

Extremely bureaucratic and hierarchical.
Employees work hard, but are not appreciated- you can never do enough.
Employees tend to be micromanaged.
People can be mean and throw others under the bus on a regular basis.

Compenstion program is "bean-counter driven" and therefore has a very unsatisfactory commission structure.

Upper management needs an infusion of people who have been "on the firing line" instead of the the usual "MBA-types".

The company believes in lots of food at meetings.
Innovative and invests in new technology.

Orders are directed from top, down to the field with ideas implemented in a office, they don't always make sense in the field.
In some positions the workload is very heavy.
Advice to Senior Management
Find a way to protect the Sales Development Managers salary. If someone has made it to this position they have proven themselves to be worthy. Take action to receive feedback about new programs implemented.
