    Pros

If you have exceptional time management skills then your home/ work may be balanced. ( 24/7/365) Full benefits; vehicle, gas, 401k, health, etc.

    Cons

I have seen how corporation has evolved in my 32 year career from being family oriented to a " bottom line " corporation. Had gone through approx. half a dozen mangers in the last 10 years, each with different styles and expectations. Became a very toxic environment between management and myself due to lack of mutual respect. Weekend coverage for entire district and were required to fix coworkers issues due to their lack of detail and work ethic.

    Advice to Management

What ever happened to the inclusion initiative? Management does not listen to overall concerns/ issues. Management developed into managing by negative reinforcement. Appears that management very confused on how to align territories. Territories realigned every couple of years so, therefore, all new relationships and trust had to be built. VERY time consuming. We are under compensated for the territory requirements; office/ field work.

    Pros

The pay was good but could use more insenitives to better help the employees and the Company as a whole.

    Cons

The over time late after hours you can't plan your evening's out Also vacation time off easy hard to keep scheduled and having to work each other employees time off too.

    Advice to Management

Help out your employees out in the field more instead of making excuses to be pro-active.

    Pros

I have been impressed with my division and department leadership. They allow flexibility and autonomy while providing support when needed. Nice 401(k) matching and other good benefits.

    Cons

Corporate account managers seem to be incentivised in a way that conflicts with what might be best for the company.

    Pros

I believe Doug Baker made a tremendous move acquiring Nalco. Nalco is reputable but the old Ecolab is a complete mess

    Cons

Pest division is in chaos and would not recommend joining that division. They are looking back to 15 years ago when they grew and did not have same situations as today. Competitors have far superior knowledge. Ecolab believes that spending money on training to performing same overpriced service will make things great. They have multiple states that are a complete mess and it will be a matter of time before many more customers cancel service because the knowledge and experience are leaving the company as soon as they can. They created a segment to audit large food plants . Good idea but their software is outdated by ten years. Not to mention that the employees are burnt out. Too bad that they have good people but treat them poorly

    Advice to Management

Doug Baker needs to truly look at his leadership team in pest division. Upper management trying to save their own butts by blaming the field. Time to replace leadership in pest as they are arrogant and clueless(unless of course it is about bottom line and getting ready to sell division or turn all field reps to straight hourly wage.) Sorry guys your not as good as you think
