Choice Hotels Int is very connected with what the guests are looking for in a hotel room and stay very up to date with the latest technology regarding booking engines and property management software.

    Cons

There were no unusual challenges outside of those inherent with hotel management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Econo Lodge part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Will not be fired as they will not pay pay for unemployment so is a rather secure place to work.

    Cons

Too many to list but I will try. Minimum wage till the day you die. Does not matter how long
you are there or how great a job you do you will always get the minimum wage and no overtime ever & no full time work either.
The management is horrible! The assistant manager is in title only with no powers at all so her power is used to delegate her work on to others. Very unfair and it makes for even more bad attitudes. Policy is set by the owners-period! Bad policy is the rule. No extra pay for over night work. Expect to be paid $7.79 per Florida minimum wage until the state ups it. The owners are nasty, rude, hateful, unfair & impossibly stingy. And that goes for pay all the way down to supplies needed to do the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen and heed employees advise. Pay people for good work. Stop dumping everything onto the desk clerks and night auditors! Stop verbally abusing us..
