I worked at Edelweiss Capital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The private banking products are innovative and there is a steep learning curve

    Cons

The culture does not warrant teamwork, a self-serving attitude exists in the company that does not promote growth. Career prospects for new entrants are next to none. At the time of working the attrition rates for junior associates was 100%, there was a programme introduced at the time call private banking associates (The junior associates were not allowed to be a part of the programme), The company hired 17 employees and invested in their training, by the end of the year not a single associate was left, it was a complete failure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is much change needed, the company needs to begin to understand the need to change the culture that exists, promote new employees hired out of college and give them a good start to their careers.
