Pros
The folks at Edison International are very nice yet also deep subject matter experts who are more than willing to share their information with you. My boss took a direct and sustained role in developing me and ensuring that my deliverables came off well.
Cons
The regulatory uncertainty makes it challenging to understand if there will necessarily be a job opportunity at the end of your internship but management emphasizes the role that networking and showing your work around the business has on your prospects.
Pros
stable place to work. lots of internal opportunities for advancement. had good managers that cared about my development. family friendly
Cons
public utility so not as innovative other companies. compensation was on the lower end so the scale but this is a trade off
Advice to Senior Management
you provide a good environment to work in. all in all it is quite a nice place to work.
Pros
Great pay, exciting work, Unbelievable benefits. Every day I am actually happy to go into work. Not a thing I would change
Cons
The only downsides or cons I can see is the amount of market slumps and new regulation leading to lay offs.
Pros
Great benefits, 401k match, extra money to stay healthy, free parking, flexible hours
Cons
Lack of leadership in most departments, lack of supervisor knowledge. no communication in departments
Advice to Senior Management
Get more qualified managers
Pros
career opportunities, the communication, the compensation and benefits, the employee morale, the recognition and feedback
Cons
the work and life balance, the senior leadership, fairness, respect
Advice to Senior Management
be nicer please
Pros
Management really want to grow their employees. The culture is different in each group, but for the most part, everyone gets along real well and is treated with respect by their supervisors. The management gives active feedback on projects and as such, employees are able to stay motivated.
Cons
Being a corporation, growth is slow and many employees are satisfied with not going above and beyond the status quo.
Advice to Senior Management
I would encourage more active engagements in projects by lower level employees. Also, give more potential for growth within the company.
