I worked at Education Management Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Only pro was the okay pay and people on your level that you worked with for the most part. But is that worth sacrificing your morals. That's up to you.

    Cons

To keep it short and simple upper management did not care about there employees. In consisted of a club of people who only looked for themselves who treated there employees like pawns. The average tenure was less than a year there because if you didn't cut it you were gone. And this is was college admissions. They tried to act like something they were not and constantly lied to there employees.

    Advice to Management

Start all over and rethink the nature of how you run your business. But who would care. Humans are naturally selfish.

I have been working at Education Management Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, great opportunities to expand personally and add things to your toolbelt. Relatively willing to be flexible concerning hours and time worked.

    Cons

Somewhat stingy with raises, regulatory environment has been harsh, high turnover makes projects kind of difficult. It's been a rocky few years.

    Advice to Management

Management is already pretty aware of retention issues stemming from salary freezes and overwork, so I suppose my only advice is to address those areas more.
