    Be careful....

R&D Engineer (Current Employee) Maia, Oporto (Portugal)

    ProsInteresting projects and technologies
Looks good on CV when applying to Portuguese jobs
Might meet and work with some talented people, but depends a lot in the department we are within

ConsNo career path, unless you are "friends" or family of influential people in the company.
    No meritocracy.
    Ridiculous performance reviews.
Most of people have fixed working hours, even if you are in R&D....
Huge discrepancy of salaries for the same position.
Middle management is useless and they just do as told so they can keep their salary and benefits.
Execs don't care about what's going on. If they can keep their credit cards and fancy cars, everything is fine.
    Long working hours.
Outdated development processes that just simply don't work.
Audits are ridiculous and embarrassing. Company just keep with certifications due to the company influence in the country.

    Advice to Senior ManagementJust quit...
