    Pros

Good product, recently has improved corporate management.

    Cons

Focus on short term profit seems to hurt both the company and the employees.

    Advice to Management

Allow store-level management more power, offer better benefits and compensation to keep good, long term employees. People who want cheap, fast, food have plenty of better options. I think this business would be better served by standing out in employee familiarity.

    Pros

The hours were perfect for working and still getting off in time to handle everyday tasks.

    Cons

The short-hand staff issue made it slightly difficult at times.

    Pros

The only good things about working at Einstein's were the customers (when they weren't being run off by terrible management decisions) and the coworkers (the ones we could keep. Turnover is the highest I have ever seen.)

    Cons

The upper management (AMB and up) is totally clueless as to what goes on in the stores, what we need, and how to make the restaurants successful. The employees try really hard to keep the customers happy, but with that terrible of management, it is virtually impossible. I have wasted so much of my life trying to better this company, when I should have taken one of the many well-paying jobs that were offered to me over the years, rather than trying to save this sinking ship.

    Advice to Management

The entire upper-management needs to be scrapped and start over, or at the very least completely retrained. Upper management does not currently want to know about anything happening in the stores that is not positive, they really take the "fingers in my ears, lalalala I can't hear you" approach when it comes to any problems being brought to their attention. Randy Hilliard, in the St. Louis area, is a the model example of this tactic. His "management" skills are a total joke, and have led to numerous GOOD managers leaving the company because they could not work with him and his demanding, unrealistic expectations. He is running the entire St. Louis area into the ground.

  10. I have had a great experience with lots of ups and downs.

    Pros

If you are a hard worker its very easy to move up in this company. I have watched people go from cashiers to General Managers with in months. No late nights. Very easy to transfer. I transferred from Utah to Illinois and it was a very simple process.

    Cons

Very early shifts, can be difficult if you don't enjoy getting up early. Pay isn't the best it could be. Employees arent taken care of the way they should be. Medical Benefits are a joke.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of employees. Give better benefits and incentives.

    Pros

The work is enjoyable at first. Serving people delicious bagel sandwiches and making people happy made me really enjoy the job when I started. The people were fun to work with, until members started leaving suddenly.

    Cons

Very high expectations and little training from the start.
Management shoves you aside to do the work instead of trying to help out.
Nagged on for not being able to micro-manage the entire restaurant as a lone cashier working minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

You have to respect your team members to get respect from them.
