Pros
Eldorado has a very supportive staff. It is definitely a small company type feel so you get the feeling that you are part of a family. I really like the high quality product, very good benefits, plus if you're a driver you basically get paid to exercise. It's definitely a workout carrying 1-2 50lb water bottles plus the cases all day long.
Cons
Very tough labor, very weak training, need to set higher expectations for drivers, need to include a daily checklist for drivers as "must haves on board" before leaving each morning, need to improve maintenance on the trucks (at the time it was very low, but now a days it appears they have much newer trucks), also this industry is not recession proof by any means.
Advice to Senior Management
I advise spending time every so often riding with the drivers in the truck to get a good feel of how they run their route (especially if they are a new driver), offer advice on areas to improve, assistance with deliveries and how to run a route, etc. I also advise providing sales training for drivers since it is a requirement for drivers to sign up 1-2 new customers per month. Most do not due to lack of sales training plus the fact that they have very busy routes and do not have time to go for new business. Also be more lenient on the balance between work and personal lives. There were times I needed to be off at a certain time and they were not willing to assist to make sure that happened. I also advise working harder to sponsor more events in the area. Eldorado is constantly losing out to Deep Rock and it's because they have a much stronger marketing department.
