1. The way the sales staff is treated is great.
2.There is lot to learn as few decisions taken by the company are unique.
3. Great work culture as the colleagues are equally competitive.

1. At times you feel that u are some part on a conveyer belt as all the decisions are from the HO.

Compensation is above average in Indianapolis area average in Phamaceutical areana. Plenty of opportunities to learn other business areas if put forth the effort. Senior management has always looked out for employees even during difficult times. Both a PRO & CON; Lilly is now run more like a business than it was 20 years ago.
Cons
Like most large companies promotions & advancements can get political at times. Strong NETWORKING amd releationship building skills are a must. Pay raise / merit increase process is well definied but does not useful.

Need to implement a stronger Development Plan process so provide opportunities to those wanting to expand business knowledge and explore other avenues.

Have an objective reward and discipline system - hold bad performers accountable. Get rid of bad managers before they totally ruin a reputable company that Lilly once was.

Gives you good learning of the pharma industry & its sales. Pays decent amount of salary & some incentives are there also.

Not very supportive about work life balance. Also you may have to work late depending on who your boss is 7 what he wants from you.

Should give respect to people who work under them & should also keep egoistic people under control. There are some people there who do not like MBAs .
