    Pros

If you are looking for a laid back but frustrating work environment that this is the place for you. Because we are a union shop there is no incentive to work harder or better than the worst guy in the shop.

    Cons

The union doesn't care about the employees and manage only put obstacles in our way to prevent teamwork. No matter how hard you work or well you meet company goals you are still me measured against the guy who stands around on his cellphone all night or the one who takes naps in company trucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes and release the union based leads are allowing your employees to waste resources and time.

I have been working at Elite Line Services full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Not very many. The work is ok but people who know whats happenning leave as soon as possible to go to Delta

    Cons

They expect you to work overtime when it is good for them and they enforce their attendence policies depending on whether you are a good old biy. They had one manager that actually really knew what we do and knew the business and treated everyone fairly but since he was nt a good old boy a lyer bag cart tech set him up and they ran him out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your head out of your butts. Without any good manager you are losing the contract anyway but I do not think he would ever come back. The human recoursed dept has the biggest turnover of any dept in the cpmpany so whats that tell you the second Delta has moreopenings about 10 of us are gone and good luck geting anyone to replace us.

    Pros

If you looking for old school this is a place to work

    Cons

There is no growth within the company, time-off policies really stuck. If you are sick and there is a doctor's note you still will get a point. Management only protect key employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should leave personal relationship at home and look out for company's future

I have been working at Elite Line Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Salary ok but could use improvement, work duties are average, Benefits are equal to most large companies.

    Cons

    * There is very little equipment support, and what they do have is very unsafe.
    * You are looked down at by DELTA AIRLINES, and ELS employees have been told by the DELTA
manager that resides in ELS maintenance repair shop; " ELS employees are the scum that lies under the Whales poo". * Work week schedule is poor, so plan on having midweek days off.
    * The Millwrights union does not support you, plus you have not voting rights.
    * Management will go out of there way to right up employees so they can fire them.
    * Their basis for whom gets promoted is by favoritism, I've seen several employees move from being an very un-experienced cart shop worker $10 hr., move straight up to the top position of a Jet Bridge Tech $24 hr. These employees magically passed a very intense mechanical and electrical (plc. troubleshooting) assessment test, and these employees only have high school educations.
    * DELTA AIRLINES and every employee loves to brag how they will be receiving large BONUSES ($8K-$12K) each year, Thanks again Millwrights Union for a great contract, "NOT"
    * Parts department is a "Laughing Joke" of the whole company (controlled by Delta Airlines Manager in ELS building), so don't think your going to do repairs in a timely manner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Promote employees honestly to those who have the proper education and years experience.
    2. Support employees by giving them good quality, safe, and properly maintain equipment (Vehicles)
    3. Union needs to get back the salaries these employees gave up during the recession
    4. Management needs to find ways to raise moral and give more gratitude, and make employees feel wanted and less of making employees feel like there a hindrance.

    Pros

Large Company, Large Diverse Fleet of plants

    Cons

Management fiefdoms, Managers have the latitude to play with employees carriers & lives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They say the buzz words like "Team" and "Work Life Balance" but when it comes down to it: it was everyman for themselves...

I worked at Elite Line Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The techs and some office folks were a joy to work with. They kept me coming back.

    Cons

Joke pay. Joke benefits(felt bad for the older techs). Took a pay decrease because ELS bid the contract so low for the MSP site. Preach safety but hardly followed it when it came to extreme weather conditions or getting proper equipment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe if you didn't bid the contract so low you would have been able to pay people enough to stay at the site. You get what you pay for.

    Pros

The best part of working there was the people.

    Cons

Site manager has no clue as to what is going on. SAFETY is a big issue here. They preach safety but do not follow the guide lines. Any problems reported do not get addressed. Training is a joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit, so the company can grow.

I worked at Elite Line Services

    Pros

Each employee seemed to have a good heart. They also seemed to be genuinely ethical in making decisions. If you enjoy mundane work and knowing how every day is going to go; it's a great job. If you need excitement and the thrill of recognition, it may not be your company.

    Cons

Slow to accept change. Unwilling to absorb new ideas into the well beaten path. Some upper management were friendly and warm. Some were cold, unforgiving, and unapproachable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Liven things up to attract new employees with innovative ideas. Make work fun once in a while.

    Pros

Arguably, the best in aviation maintenance services in the US who was recently purchased by Daifuku Webb. Treat employees as assets rather than a commodity. ELS provides training for supervisors and management in how to treat their employees. Company treats its employees fair.

    Cons

Poor Benefits - Health and Holidays

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better enforcement of policies
