Pros
Good pay for easy work!
Cons
No benefits for part time worker!
Advice to Senior Management
Offer discount to employees.
Pros
The company had great benefits and perks.
Cons
No room for growth, at leats in the department that I worked in.
Pros
Great environment to work if you like learning.
Cons
Training of new hires is lacking.
Politics seems to be getting in the way.
Only care about the bottom line.
Advice to Senior Management
Get back to the original roots and watch the politics.
Pros
Good benefits and a lot of traveling. Company very reasonable on amount of money you can spend while traveling compared to other big corporations that book you on cheap hotels and make you flight on your own time.
Cons
Nothing is perfect. You have to wait a year for your stock to become vested.
Pros
The products are amazing, and the company is sound! I'm in love with Prevage. I really believe in it. And Double Density Mascara is the best ever made.
Cons
The pay could be better, and advancement isn't always possible, but then again, no one ever really leaves the company once they start working for Arden.
Advice to Senior Management
Honestly, freelance artists aren't paid the same rate as other companies. Arden offers about 5 to 7 dollars less than other companies to artists. And I personally believe that if Arden would expand the freelance budget, it would create more excitement and interest in the brand. Everyone knows the skincares is second to none, but not as many see Arden as an artistry line, and that needs to change. Besides, the artists always sell the skincare anyway. :)
Pros
u get paid good an ur hours are good .they work with you.
Cons
just the standing on your feet.
Pros
if you like being bored, it gives you ample time to stare into a wall of shampoos and think about life.
Cons
Very cliquey environment with other employers out to make you look bad. Competitive, cut-throat, gossipy and your work hours will change rapidly without your consent.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop being terrible people.
Pros
The co-op relationship was great because of the employees, and the product.
Cons
Poor management. VERY poor communication and goal execution strategy.
Advice to Senior Management
Washington has HUGE growth potential.
Pros
The company offers very fair compensation, fairly competitive with other similar businesses. They also offer great discounts on products and spa services which is an enormous plus as a female employee.
Cons
I was not very impressed with the management of the company. I always felt that things were somewhat disorganized and that their was a bad habit of playing favorites.
Advice to Senior Management
I would highly recommend that there be more rules regarding how to treat employees. I saw technicians treated very unfairly and also found myself being belittled by certain members of the management.
Pros
Company prefers to promote from within.
Cons
Salaries are on the low side
Advice to Senior Management
Lower cost for benefits
