    Pros

I worked at the outlet and I got a bunch of free samples and things and it was one of the easiest jobs I've ever had.

    Cons

Management was constantly changing and they worked me more hours than they should have because people kept quitting

    Pros

Elizabeth Arden has somewhat of a family feel and a good work/life balance.

    Cons

Elizabeth Arden has no clear strategy. The company is always behind trends and consistently reacts to issues rather than having clear direction from management. To top it all off, their management does not agree on anything. Each leader acts in silos instead of working as one company with one vision. Until this completely changes, nothing will improve.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to restructure management, not the lower-level employees who have no influence on the company's future.

    Pros

Pretty reasonable work/life balance during the good/quiet times, compensation has always felt fair. Coworkers are generally good folks.

    Cons

Declining numbers, lack of profitability and a stagnating culture are all big problems. Project work and peak seasons can get crazy. Incredible stress and very long hours with little understanding/awareness from management of the long term consequences on morale.

    Advice to Management

Management must strive to identify the people, products, sites, processes, and systems that are beneficial to the company and helpful in the work environment - and then begin to dramatically change or jettison those that aren't. A top down change is in order.

    Pros

Great employees., fabulous brand., intriguing history., upscale and wonderful product lines. 1/2 day Fridays year round!!

    Cons

Terrible upper management -empty suits from J & J. Finger pointers. They push out long term employees for their own soldiers. They have taken a creative marketing driven company and made it operations driven.

    Advice to Management

Be available., constructive., nurturing.,team oriented.. Stop finger pointing. This is prestige mentality - not mass market. Make time to create and think outside the box. Read the history of EA and understand where the co came from - if you don't know the past you can't possible understand its future!
