    Pros

Best reason to work for this company is that this company is well known for their skin products and they are very good.

    Cons

No communication, a lot of gossip, they talk down to you when you do not make your goal, threats, cut your hours, very unprofessional environment, foul language by district manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to keep your employees you have to treat them like adults and human beings, have one on ones with your employees, best way to have great customer service it starts by making your employees happy so they can have that great positive attitude.

    Pros

The product is nice. The early Friday hours are a plus as well.

    Cons

The management team is struggling to understand the needs of the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more ownership and responsibility to the employees. Less micro management , more responsibility will allow for newer ideas and opportunities to get the business's back on track.

    Pros

Good work / life balance, decent pay and employee discounts, summer Fridays

    Cons

Culture of blame, incapable senior management team that has failed many times to steer the company in the right direction, lack of communication from senior management- which has led to a culture that perpetuates anxiety and rumors- no training opportunities, limited opportunities for growth, company constantly trying to meet numbers by inflating last min shipments before fiscal closes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Define a clear strategy, stick to it, communicate it clearly to all employees

    Pros

Elizabeth Arden has great product. There is some flexibility in your schedule, except for holidays. The salary was decent.

    Cons

No work/life balance at all. If I broke down the salary based on how many hours were expected, the pay would be terrible. They expect miracles, but do not provide the tools necessary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your people. They are your greatest asset.

    Pros

Pay is fair and benefits are good.

    Cons

Leadership is poor and company values are lacking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to ramp up sales force and be creative with marketing. Have heard that sales force is paid too well to strive for additional sales.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent work-life balance - company is supportive in that way. Freedom for some to work remotely; good discount on product, and nearly free "mystery box" every holiday season. Compensation fair.

    Cons

Morale is awful - lots of backstabbing, though maybe that is normal. Recent shakeup in executive team (new CFO) may or may not help, as company performance continues to tumble. Wave of recent layoffs with more to come, but not addressing core issues. CEO out of touch, and exec team primarily interested in their own personal survival.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more town meetings where open discussion is truly encouraged and not just given lip service. Be more transparent in order to lessen the terrible rumor mill.
