    Pros

Management is committed to retaining quality employees and strives to help employees the best possible work/life balance given the typical industry constraints. Many family-oriented events are planned each year.

    Cons

Communication of office or firm-wide goals can be somewhat lacking for lower levels of staff, though they seem to be making some improvements in that area.

    Pros

Good work life balance, flexible work options, nice people. You'll be expected to play a part in business development. Nice location in Charlotte.

    Cons

Smaller firm, smaller pay check. They pursue business development by coming in at very low fees hoping to make them back down the road. Smaller fees, smaller pay check.

    Advice to Management

Be open honest about their pros and cons to their own employees. Management does a good job trying to keep the work life balance, but you will get paid a little less than your experience might merit at neighboring firms.

    Pros

Elliott Davis has a unique firm culture which sets us apart from other public accounting firms in the industry. I believe we have the ideal work life balance to succeed and grow in this industry. Flexibility is a key component in the work life balance dynamic, and at Elliott Davis we do have the luxury of working with everyone's schedules in order to achieve the ultimate work life balance. Elliott Davis has a beneficial coaching program which helps everyone from every level develop in their career path

    Cons

    Thus far there are none.

    Advice to Management

Continue on the current strategic path. The open door policy facilitates efficiency.

    Pros

Great working environment - upper management is very approachable and are always willing to provide feedback and answer questions; Work hours are flexible - you aren't constantly bound to a rigid schedule, and to some extent you can come and go as you please - assuming you are getting the work done. Most of the firm's clients are local, so traveling is limited (depending on which industry you decide to specialize in). Compensation is competitive with the larger firms. Firm culture is important and everyone in the office works well together and is pretty fun.

    Cons

Not much aside from those common in the industry.

    Pros

Elliott Davis has a great coaching program, and is interested in tailoring my career path to fit my goals. As a first year, I was able to work in several industries, so I was able to make an educated decision about what I wanted to specialize in. Great work/life balance. Elliott Davis has a great internship program that really helped me in my transition from college to full-time position. In 2013, the internship program was ranked #4 in the world!

    Cons

That I didn't start working here sooner!

    Advice to Management

Continue on the current strategic path. The open door policy really facilitates great lines of communication.

    Pros

Elliott Davis is consistently rated as a "Best Place to Work". They have great flexibility and worklife balance and an excellent work environment. The firm is extremely involved in the community and has a great reputation. Employees are more than coworkers and spend time socializing outside of work.

    Cons

Elliott Davis is a southeastern regional firm, so you don't have the option to start or transfer in other parts of the US.
