Pros
opportunity to advance is limited, but if you do your job you are rewarded financially. Management is not always responsive to requests and follow up is needed

Pros
Embarq was a great place to work. The people were wonderful. Leadership (except for the CEO) was top notch.
Cons
The CEO and BOD sold out the employees to CenturyLink. CL culture was a sweat-shop where employees are not valued.
Pros
Embarq offers many different avenues for personal and professional growth. If you stretch beyond your comfort zone you may have the opportunity to be a part of managament, continued education, customer interaction and community events, to name a few.
Cons
Embarq is a large company, so like most large enterprises, C-level vision can get skewed or miscommunicated throughout the organization.
Advice to Senior Management
I believe that Embarq is a great company to work for and should continue to hone the skills of talented, dedicated individuals through challenging goals and keeping lines of communication open down to the 'ground level'.

Advice to Senior Management
A lot of the new management was just moved when doing a bad job and not fired Please review better
Pros
The job itself is fun and challenging. Lots of various products to work on and support. Some training is provided allows professional growth.
Cons
Since the merger with CenturyTel it has been downhill. Management seems clueless about how the organization should be run and how the new organization structure be created.
Advice to Senior Management
Pick an organizational model and stick to it. Some parts of the company are still working in a regional model and other parts are on a national model and it's causing a lot of confusion. Select managers based on their skills and ability to lead.

Cons
Embarq recently merged with another company
