Pros
people are good, flexible somehow
Cons
compensation is bad, too much outsourcing jobs to the other center
Pros
Emerson has good technology especially for field devices
Cons
Poor relationships with clients, Change-resisting old staffers. Poor work environment, unprofessional middle management.
Advice to Senior Management
1. Foster a friendly and professional work culture.
2. Reward qualified people rather than rewarding by cliques and old boys/girls networks.
Pros
Large International company with opportunities if you have the right grooming and support from a corporate sponsor.
Cons
Satellite offices are ignored for talent pool due to a lack of visibility outside of director level.
Advice to Senior Management
- Walk the talk. Emerson Senior Management talks about fast track leadership programs for individuals identified as having potential. Still waiting...
- Empower your employees
Pros
Good company to have on your resume. Well known in Industry and you get the chance to network with important people in other companies. A world company so international work experience is a possibility. If you need a particular device or tool all you need to do is ask and it is usually given.
Cons
*Office Politics*
Yuo have to be a "Sqeaky wheel in order to get the grease".
Morale not the best.
ALOT of cost cutting (if you claim to be a great company why not act it)
All emplyees work on the same team, why is there so much resentfulness towards one another?
Advice to Senior Management
Realize the posers, and mentor the high potentials
