    Pros

    Very interesting place to work.
Training and all the support are given when necessary.
Interesting project and there is place for innovation

    Cons

the location is not the best (in Newtown), depending on your expectation though.
The place is quite beautiful, surrounded by trees and river, but I feel it a bit far from civilization. This is just a point of view.

    Pros

Friendly people and love to stab you in the back.

    Cons

Under staffed with low pay, management takes advantage of personnel, terrible management, my worst place to work in the past 30 years. I had to work an extra 5 to 10 hours without pay per week for 4 years to keep up. Then after I finished a major successful project they fired me for not showing up for work because I missed a few days that was out of my control. I even had a week of vacation to use. They did not need me anymore because I finished the project that they are selling 50 units per month and making tons of money on it. Very poor company if you ask me. They will use you up and spit you out! Beware!

    Advice to Management

You need to fire your top dead weight management at your Rosemount Houston office.

Executive bonuses...... a pro only if you're an executive.

    Cons

Management's resistance to change is causing profits to plummet. They don't embrace the latest technologies or properly train employees.

Retire now and let the young and bright generation take over.

    Pros

Emerson is a very stable company. Their products are interesting to work with. Their profit sharing / 401K is much better than average.

    Cons

Management is very conservative. They prioritize stable value for shareholders above longer term investments in innovation. Constant "belt tightening" actions are annoying.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to employees. They have some innovative ideas that could lead to blockbuster products, but they need some investment.
