    Pros

EMERSON as a whole has Good benefits... It wad good that Micro Motion instituted profit sharing...A great way to build 401K

    Cons

-I had a BAD experience with racism and intolerance by management... -They have a SERIOUS lack of diversity... -Many started leaving after I started.

    I worked at Emerson full-time

    Pros

Lots of hard working people and there were some very interesting projects going on. No micromanaging in the engineering team. Free lunch.

    Cons

I found that trying to get a word in with the management was sometimes a difficult task, for example 10 minutes a week would be all you could get.

    Advice to Management

Have a bit more management structure so new(er) employees don't feel stranded, but other than that keep up the good work!

I have been working at Emerson full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice professional environment with lots of exposure to projects and engineering. Work Life balance is not that bad, good incentives package. As a corporation, it has the possibility to jump from one to the other on your career path.

    Cons

A lot of bureaucracy all around. Sometimes I feel this is a very old company trying to get into a modern day business environment. There's no a real structure to manage resources abroad and this leads to make you feel lonely and without support from upper management.

    Advice to Management

Reward your employees. Reward your employees. Reward your employees. The kind of resource Emerson needs is not easy to find and also it's not easy to retain. I see a lot of investment in resources that leave the company because of the policies and the lack of flexibility a manager has to negotiate new salary.

I have been working at Emerson full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bonus scheme is good. Based on 3 months salary and payout quarterly. Minimum can get 1.8 mths bonus.

    Cons

No others benefit. Just flexi $700(more than 10 years for this amount) for all outpatient expenses.

    Advice to Management

Those work long services high posts are very comfortable with their advantage and privileged. But those news join are control and no development.

    Pros

Excellent management processes. Learned a lot and was given tremendous opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Risk averse. Can have an "old boys network" feeling, depending on the business unit.

    Advice to Management

Risk averse. Listen to ideas of newcomers who can contribute experiences other than the Emerson way.
