  1. A good Company

I have been working at Emirates Aluminium (More than a year)

    Pros

Company takes care of employee salary and its benefits. It has good working environment and helps balance work life

    Cons

Earlier things were transparent, post merger with Dubal, transparency is 0. Dubal is following age old customs which is getting pushed to the latest-process-run Emal.

    Advice to Management

Follow best business practices instead of age old Dubal custom

    Pros

    - Semi government organization, so working hours are 42.5 per week which is considered pretty good in this part of the world. Similarly holidays are ample on various occasions.

    Cons

    - So much emiratization that the expat employees feel like second or third class citizens when it comes to career growth/ promotions or training opportunities.
    - Salary growth is negligible, you only get 1% increment or so on your gross every year.
    - It is a good company if you want to work short term for 3 to 4 years or if you don't bother about your career growth.

    Advice to Management

    - At least have some opportunities for expat employees.
