    Pros

    Fun, energetic environment several years ago.
    Smart, collaborative employees

    Cons

    Purchased by Kofax.
    Enjoyment of working there declined over the years
    In the past 3-4 years, the company vision changed annually
    sold the company for way less than it was worth.

    I have been working at 170 Systems

    Pros

    My peers are excellent. They are intelligent and very professional. The only good thing about working in the Professional Services department is the opportunity to work with such wonderful consultants who are just brilliant.

    Cons

    - Weak Management
    - Unnecessary power play by mid-level managers
    - Mistreatment of consultants by mid-level managers
    - Senior management not addressing the issues
    - Double standards
    - Not very many opportunities for growth even for the brilliant consultants

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to the employees because you have a great bunch of resources in your team before it's too late. Take action on mid-level manager(s) who are not good leaders and are a source for unpleasant and unprofessional work environment. Reduce the hierarchial barriers and honestly implement the open-door policy instead of talking about it in theory.
