I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness

    Pros

Fun work environment, get to meet lots of interesting people, get to help people get healthy, coworkers are high energy and supportive, free gym membership, managers are generally very personable and excited about your success.

    Cons

    They don't recycle.
    Poor pay.
    Poor scheduling by managers.
When corporate decides to cut the gym's allotted hours for scheduling employees, employees can see their hours cut by up to 80%. Because of this your earnings are very unpredictable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on scheduling. If you know you will have to cut your employees' hours significantly month-to-month, let them know in advance so that they can have a back up plan when their pay plummets.
