    Pros

You get to interact with a lot of different people in a fun atmosphere.

    Cons

No repercussions for poor performance from employees - encourages [lazy] bad habits.
Terrible hours - was always asked to cover night shift (10p-6a) even after working evening shift already.
Advancement promised "when position is open" - but so little opportunity and so many people looking to take the spot.
The gyms are filthy and equipment never worked - poor cleaning staff.
Child care area always short-handed - any employee could be pulled from their position at any time to work with the kids (even if you don't like children).
When I started there, front desk employees were still on hourly+commissions+incentives for keeping payment information up to date. About a year after I started they took away the commissions+incentives and gave everyone an extra 25 cents an hour instead - I made a lot more money the other way so I felt like I got a major demotion.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees, and members concerns.

    Pros

-Healthcare/Dental/Vision Benefits offered for part time and full time employees
-Opportunities available to grow with company
-Free membership to all clubs company has, 400+ clubs in the USA
    -Diverse employees
    -Competitive Pay

    Cons

-Corporate ideas on how to run personal business sometimes get in the way of building long-lasting personal connections with my clients (with some managers, this is not a problem).
-High turnover in membership positions makes it hard to gain new leads, I have been at 2 clubs where I have not had adequate help building business. This makes it take longer to succeed.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to speak with the employees at each club, we often feel that our issues go unresolved by club management.
