I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Paid to socialize and a free membership/access to over 200 clubs nationwide

Cons

Repetitive presentations/tours for 8 hours straight, and depending on how well you sell you may get rejected 50% - 75% of the time if you do not have that salesman mentality. There is no more commission just an hourly based rate.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

provide some sales incentives to keep Membership Counselors motivated and enthusiastic about their job.

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good money and the ability to talk to people about their health.

    Cons

They hire people that just need a job and they are very young. This way they save money and have on-going issues with drama, bad service and call outs. You get what you pay for!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't micro manage! Work more with your managers instead of communicating by email. Make fair requests based on what they are doing in the club. You are not there in the trenches and have an ivory tower attitude. Support and believe in the managers you have hired instead of thinking the worst of them when an issue comes up.
