Pros

Great team environment, great atmosphere

Cons

Terrible pay, even for a busy trainer, poor benefits. Tons of turnover, they don't care about keeping people long term.

Advice to Management

Do not necessarily promote strong sales individuals to lead a team.

    Pros

-You get a free gym membership -If you don't like dressing up it's perfect because you wear gym clothes to work -They will help to pay for continuing education credits

    Cons

-Management pushes you to sell training packages. Apparently fitness managers get a bonus based on how much their trainers sell so that's why they can be pretty pushy -Expected to prospect on the floor and bother even members with headphones in their ears who clearly look like they do not want to be disturbed -fitness managers and/or assistants can be fairly young, inexperienced, and micro manage -pay is quite low (you make minimum wage & only a small percent commission based on training) -some co-workers were too competitive

    Advice to Management

-Try to give your trainers room to grow on their own. Not everyone does sales the same way. -It would be nice if management genuinely cared more about the health of members instead of just how much money they can get from them in training packages

Highly disorganized. Leave the employees on their own.

    Pros

Employees get a lot of freedom in terms of their time.

    Cons

Can get screwed because you are on your own.

    Advice to Management

Need closer monitoring of the new employees who need help.
