24 Hour Fitness – “Company has difficulty walking the talk”
Pros
24 Hour Fitness has some great people working at the upper levels - especially those who have been with the company for several years.
Cons
- But what the leadership is capable of bringing to the table doesn't trickle down to the club level - either for employees or for members. It's an indifferent experience.
- Cost cutting measures are gutting the member experience.
- The most service oriented employees have a frustrating lack of support, and many opt to leave the company-at the same time as wishing they could still bear to work there!
- Level of personal trainer skill and training is often notably lacking for a company that espouses "Fitness Done Right"
-The music is relentlessly, intrusively appalling if you are above 30 years old!
- Constant shuffling of employees from one place to another makes it difficult to establish and maintain employee and member relationships
There is still a long way for 24 Hour Fitness to go to live up to its potential.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management should be more visible at the club level - and more responsive to club management needs and feedback. (Carl made a good start when he came on board ..... )
Don't cut good performers in Pulse 24 off at the knees! Nothing more disheartening that seeing managers who perform well leaving the company!
