Former Employee - Personal Trainer in Glendora, CA

    Pros

Good personal trainer program. You learn a lot more than a trainer at la fitness. Weekly up keep of information sessions to learn about specific exercises, workouts, sales techniques. Personal trainers get to sell training packages which really helps with commission. Commission for each trained session.

    Cons

Shady sales team will steal your commission!!! Must watch your own back all the time!!! Expect criticism from club manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't let other departments specifically sales steal personal trainers' commission!!!

    Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Job is fun. Get to meet tons of interesting people. You get to help people change their lives through fitness.

    Cons

Since Mr. Foresman passed away, all Foresman little & Company cares about is selling the company. They refuse to spend money to make money, but blame you specifically when a member didn't want to enroll because all the equipment is crap. On average their membership costs are 65% higher than their competitors. No room to grow. Amazing bonus intensive for management; however they make it impossible to achieve. Don't allocate enough labor to achieve the desired result

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is not the problem, its the share holders. To all the managers still remaining... best of luck to you.
