I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than a year

Pros

Hard work gets promoted over people who have just hung around for years

Cons

Some managers are promoted based on number alone and are not fit to lead teams

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting trainers and counselors that can gross like its no big deal but have the people skills of a 2x4. Sales can be coached, leadership can not

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free gym membership, majority of people working there were great people. Will promote from within if you are dedicated. Helping clients can be rewarding.

    Cons

Pushy sales like most gyms, some managers are not the best. In my case the Assistant Membership Manager. Sales team tried to get me to give out numbers of friends to sell to. This is probably because they may be fired for low numbers.

    Pros

Great company culture with opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

You will work long hours and manage minimum wage employees that are young and not always motivated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back leadership that built the company.
