I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Working as a personal trainer is very rewarding and 24 Hour Fitness has a large pool of people to approach and sell training to.

Cons

Very stressful working environment.

Advice to Management

Compliment people more and don't just talk to them when something needs to be corrected. Be a little more humane.

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They will work around your schedule for school, hiring process was quick and easy. Also free membership is a plus.

    Cons

The membership side of the gym hates to honor guest passes, and the membership managers will lie to guests to avoid giving out guest passes. Also they blame the front desk if someone was given a guest pass. The hours themselves are short, but awkward. And in the Houston area they start the front desk employees at 7.50 an hour, which is barely enough to pay for the gas to get there and maybe your light bill.

    Advice to Management

Be straightforward with training the employees so that new employees and the managers are on the same page when it comes to guest policies and account billing questions.
