Pros

gave good introduction to direct sales, not so dissimilar to cell phone sales and comcast sales, these were the people who trained me

Cons

the sales system incentivized people to hustle members through the process of getting signed up, try to get them to sign up for the full price and drop the price if we have to, not care about customers needs, take advantage of their insecurities to bully them into getting membership/personal training

Advice to Management

its good that this system is gone

    Pros

They will work around your schedule for school, hiring process was quick and easy. Also free membership is a plus.

    Cons

The membership side of the gym hates to honor guest passes, and the membership managers will lie to guests to avoid giving out guest passes. Also they blame the front desk if someone was given a guest pass. The hours themselves are short, but awkward. And in the Houston area they start the front desk employees at 7.50 an hour, which is barely enough to pay for the gas to get there and maybe your light bill.

    Advice to Management

Be straightforward with training the employees so that new employees and the managers are on the same page when it comes to guest policies and account billing questions.

    Pros

Encouraged to work out after your shift, get to know members and they are some pretty cool people. Not a very difficult job.

    Cons

Company values... HA, they hire a cleaning company to do the cleaning in the gym, because then they don't have to hold the same standards of pay/hours/citizenship as if they hired directly.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more...
